Manny Fernandez sends Danny Rohl goodbye message after Rangers exit

Manny Fernandez has sent former Rangers head coach Danny Rohl a goodbye message.

The Ibrox defender enjoyed a strong first campaign at the club under Rohl having signed under Russell Martin.

Fernandez flourished under the German and played 33 times, scoring six goals in the process. It was Rohl who got the best out of the former Peterborough United star.

The highly-rated central defender enjoyed his time in Scotland with Rohl and used his social media platforms to thank the boss for his help during their time in Glasgow.

And he wished the 37-year-old well in his next chapter of his career where he just joined RB Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Fernandez took to his Instagram account to write: "Good luck with your next adventure. My guy."

The post was accompanied of the pair on the pitch at the Rangers training centre.

Rohl has helped take Fernandez's game to another level in Scotland and the Nigerian internationalist has found the net six times and made himself an aerial threat at set-pieces.

That, among other elements of his game, has meant the defender finds himself on the radar of a number of clubs interested in a goal-scoring centre-half.

The likes of Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, Everton and other clubs in the Premier League have all been linked with Fernandez.
