AHMEDABAD: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said that he feels that Manish Sisodia will be arrested in next two-three days. He was addressing a public meeting in Gujarat's Bhavnagar.
"We were hearing that they will arrest Manish Sisodia within the next 10 days. But now I feel that they will arrest him in the next two-three days," said the Delhi CM and AAP's national convener.
The Delhi CM also claimed that the BJP was "badly terrified" by AAP's presence in poll-bound Gujarat due to which it might remove party's state unit president C R Patil.
"BJP is frightened of Aam Aadmi Party and its growing popularity in the state, according to the sources, BJP is going to drop its state unit president C R Patil, Is BJP so frightened?", tweeted Kejriwal.
Reacting to Kejriwal's tweet BJP chief spokesman Yamal Vyas said, "Kejriwal has seen the AAP defeat in Gujarat, so he is using C R Patil's name for publicity. His tweet is not even noteworthy or fit for comment."
During his fifth visit in a month to Gujarat on Monday, the Delhi chief minister had said that his deputy Manish Sisodia under the CBI lens over excise policy case "should be given the Bharat Ratna for improving standard of education in Delhi schools".
He claimed said that Sisodia is being hounded by the Central government due to political motives and expressed apprehension that the latter may be arrested soon.
