A Philippines hotel and resort complex is in lockdown following a reported attack by at a gunman.
Police, fire engines and a SWAT team in body armour were in the area around Resorts World in Manila, according to local media. A report from Reuters said armed police had been seen entering the hotel.
Officers cordoned off the area near the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
"We are searching the area as much as we can, to make sure it is clear. I can confirm that shots were fired," a Resorts World official, Stephen James Riley, told reporters.
Police said one gunman was involved and was still at large.
The Manila Standard reported that some victims had suffered severe gunshot wounds.
An army spokesman said police were now in control of the incident and the military was monitoring it.
Commenting on the incident, Donald Trump called it a "terrorist attack" and said he was monitoring the situation.
The Philippines fire protection bureau said there was a fire on the second floor of Resorts World.
Resorts World Manila said on Twitter: "Resorts World Manila is currently on lockdown following reports of gunfire from unidentified men.
"The company is working closely with the Philippine National Police to ensure that all guests and employees are safe. We ask for your prayers during these difficult times."
Local journalist April Chang shared this Facebook video from the scene.
A source at one of the resorts told Reuters employees were being evacuated and declined to give more details. He said police were now in full control of the situation.
NBC News cited a source as saying "there are quite a few injuries".
Witnesses who spoke to radio stations said several gunmen were seen in the complex. News channel ANC said there were two gunmen, wearing masks and black clothes.
The information could not be immediately verified.
Pictures circulated on social media of the resort, close to the city's airport, showing plumes of smoke pouring from a building.

No group has claimed responsibility.The incident is unfolding amid a 10-day deadly siege by Muslim militants aligned to the Islamic State group in the southern city of Marawi.
The attack has sparked fears that the militants may attack elsewhere to divert the focus of thousands of troops trying to quell the siege.
