New Delhi: Manidvipa Foundation distributed warm clothes and conducted food drives to needy people in clustered and less privileged areas.
Manidvipa Foundation is a cause whose mission is to serve and make people self-dependent. In its recent campaign, they have served various basic necessities of people in Delhi-NCR through food drives, distributing blankets and creating awareness of precautionary measures to take in the time of COVID Pandemic by providing masks and other means.
They are organising weekly camps and food drives in various hutment of Delhi NCR to provide aids to the needy.
During two days campaign which was conducted by Manidvipa Foundation on 25th-26th December 2020, they helped economically disadvantaged people from Sanjay Camp Chanakyapuri areas around Bangla Sahib and Moti Bagh Gurudwara and also targeted outdoor patients in RML and VMMC who came from rural & backward areas, by distributing basic needs like blankets, milk, bread, shoes, masks, clothes, etc.
During the times of pandemic, the economically disadvantaged people are the most affected ones. Manidvipa Foundation is taking the initiative to reach this strata of society which is not so easy to reach. This campaign is active in various areas of Delhi NCR which is an on-going activity done on every Saturdays.
Manidvipa Foundation's next distribution drive conducted successfully on 2nd January 2021 in the hutment area of Shashi Garden, Mayur Vihar Phase-1, where more than 250 needy people have been served.
The team of Manidvipa Foundation along with Riechaa Parashar, Ankita Bansal, Shippy Singh, Avinash Vaswani and other members had participated in the event. People who had been served were appreciating the efforts and showed their gratitude towards the initiative that Manidvipa Foundation have initiated in the times of hardship where people are struggling for their basic survival.
Riechaa parashar said, "Manidvipa Foundation's main objective is to serve and make people selfdependent. Our mission statement is, We are here... To serve & transform lives. We not only serve people in need who are below poverty line but also working in women empowerment and cow welfare. We make women employable by giving a constructive way to their skillsets and help them being self-employed by targeting 250 woman each year in this campaign for woman emancipation."
