Manic Street Preachers to perform charity NHS gigs - when tickets go on sale

Rock legends Manic Street Preachers have announced two gigs that they will perform in December at Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena.

The concert will be in benefit for NHS workers who are currently working on the frontline by tackling the coronavirus pandemic.

HullLive reports the second show will be ticketed, with all money going to NHS charities - with the first available for free for NHS workers.

In a statement, they said: "We wanted to do something to show our appreciation, love and respect for the NHS and its amazing brave workers.

"One free show and one fundraising show seemed the best way for us to express our deep gratitude for all their heroic work."

Tickets will be available on Friday at 7pm.

The band were also one of 20 acts behind the Tsunami Relief concert back in 2005.

At the time it was the biggest charity concert held in the UK since Live Aid nearly 20 years earlier.
