Manhunt underway for early morning flasher who indecently exposed himself in Montrose

A manhunt is underway for a creepy flasher who exposed himself to several members of the public in Montrose.

The "upsetting" incident occurred today at around 6.30am in Whinfield Road near to Union Park.

Police have now released a description of the suspect in a bid to trace him.

He is described as around 30 years of age, 5ft 10 and medium build with brown hair.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a black beanie hat, navy Adidas jumper and navy joggers.

He was last seen exiting the scene towards the local Health Centre.

The unsettling event follows a similar incident last Saturday, 20 February.

Cops say they have not dismissed the possibility the two are linked.

A statement from Police Scotland reads: "We are currently investigating an incident which happened about 6:30am this morning (Friday 26th).

"A man was seen exposing himself to members of the public in the street before leaving in the direction of the Health Centre.

"At this time we cannot formally link this incident to a similar one in Montrose on Saturday 20th, although that has not been ruled out.

"If you have any information that could assist our investigation, please call 101 or speak to any police officer.

"Also, information can be given anonymously through CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is incident 0462 of 26th February."

They added on Facebook: "This has been an upsetting incident for those who witnessed it."
