Manhunt to find wanted child sex offender with links to Greater Manchester

Lancashire Police have launched an appeal for information about a wanted sex offender.

Hassan Ali, 27, from Nelson, Pendle, is wanted for failing to comply with his sex offender notification requirements.

He was jailed in 2015 for three-and-a-half years for sexual activity with a female child.

He is also wanted for failing to appear at Blackburn Magistrates Court in March to face charges of breaching a court order.

Ali is described as Asian, around 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build, with black hair and a full beard.

He also has a scar on the top of his head, a birth mark on his left elbow, two surgical scars on his right shoulder and three surgical scars on his right knee.

He has links to Brierfield, Colne, Burnley, Luton and Greater Manchester.

Det Insp Mark Gillibrand, of Blackburn Police, said: “We are asking anybody with information about Ali’s whereabouts to get in touch with us.

"Perhaps you have seen him, or maybe you have information about where he might be.

"Whatever you think you know, please contact us straight away.”

Anybody with information should call 01254 35324 or, if they get no answer, 101, quoting log number 953 of April 12th.

Alternatively you can email MOSOVOEast@lancashire.pnn.police.uk.
