A manhunt has been launched after firebugs torched a car in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to Murano Place in the Maryhill area of the city after at around 10.50pm on Wednesday April 28.
A black Subaru Impreza was set on fire, with crews able to extinguish the blaze, which officers have slammed as a 'reckless act'.
Emergency crews raced to after the alarm was raised.
Thankfully nobody was injured.
Greater Glasgow Police Division confirmed officers have launched an investigation and are urging witnesses or those with dash cam footage to come forward.
Detective Constable James Kydd said: “We are appealing for information from members of the public relating to this deliberate fire.
“Thankfully no one was injured as a result of this reckless act.
"But I would like to stress how dangerous wilful fire-raising is and discourage anyone from setting a fire deliberately and know that officers will always investigate any reports robustly and thoroughly.
“If you saw anything suspicious and have not yet already contacted police I would urge you to do so as soon as possible.
“Similarly, if you were driving in the area around the time and were recording via a dashcam device please check your system for any relevant footage.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting the incident number 3968 of Wednesday, April 28 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
