Manhunt launched after young woman sexually assaulted at Glasgow subway station

A manhunt has been launched after a young woman was sexually assaulted at a Glasgow subway station.

The incident occurred at Buchanan Street subway station in the city centre just after 10.30pm on Tuesday August 10.

The woman was approached by a man she didn't know while on the staircase, before he started making sexually explicit comments to her.

He then went on to touch her inappropriately.

The man is described as white, around 5ft 9ins, of a stocky build, in his late thirties or early forties with dark hair receding on top.

He was wearing a white t-shirt, dark navy jeans and white trainers.

He also had an orange jumper wrapped around his waist.

Officers are keen to speak with anyone who there at the time and may have witnessed the assault or who may have information.
