Manhunt launched after thugs break into Scots home and attack residents with 'weapon'

A manhunt has been launched after thugs broke into a Scots home and assaulted two men with a weapon in an early morning attack.

The two men entered the home at Allen Court, Kirkcaldy, Fife at around 5.30am on Wednesday December 23.

They beat the men, aged 33-years-old and 40-years-old, with what police believe to be a weapon.

It is unclear what the weapon was and the men were not seriously injured.

Detective Inspector Chris Dow of CID in Kirkcaldy said: “The victims, aged 33 and 40 were within their home address when two men entered the house and assaulted them.

"It is understood a weapon was used but fortunately it did not result in the victims suffering any serious injuries.

“We are keen to trace the two men who are described as being under six foot tall.

“We are treating this as an isolated incident.

“The area would have been relatively quiet at the time and we are appealing to anyone saw anything suspicious to come forward.

"I would also appeal to anyone who may live nearby with CCTV, or who was driving in the area with dash cam footage to contact police.

“Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 448 of 23 December 2020.”
