A manhunt has been launched after a teenage girl was assaulted in Airdrie.
The 14-year-old was attacked by a man in a wooded area next to Cairnwood Drive around 3.30pm on Friday, May 29.
She sustained minor injuries and did not required any medical treatment.
Now officers are appealing to anyone who may have information which can help them track down the suspect.
The man is described as being in his mid 20s and of slim build.
He was wearing a light-blue patterned t-shirt, blue and grey shoes and a grey baseball cap.
A Police Scotland statement read: "Officers are continuing their enquiries to establish the exact circumstance and they are appealing to anyone who was in the area between 2.30pm and 3.30pm on Friday afternoon, or who has any information that may assist them.
"Information should be passed to Lanarkshire CID through 101 quoting incident number 2611 of 29th May."
