Manhunt launched after shot fired at house in late-night attack in Co Tipperary

A manhunt has been launched after a shot was fired at a house in Co Tipperary.

The incident happened at around 12.20am on Wednesday in the Killenaule area.

A number of people were inside the house at the time, but nobody was injured.

Inspector James White of Thurles Garda Station told Tipp FM that a dark-coloured saloon car may have been involved in the incident.

He added that two men were understood to be in the vehicle.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí in Tipperary responded to reports of a shot being fired which occurred on Wednesday, February 19 at approximately 12.20am at a residence in Killenaule, Co Tipperary.

"One shot was fired at the property, causing damage to a window but no injuries were reported.

"The scene was then preserved for a technical examination. Investigation ongoing."

Anyone with information is asked to come forward to Thurles garda station.
