Manhunt launched after pedestrian attacked by two men near Ibrox station

Police are hunting two men after a 48-year-old was seriously injured in Glasgow.

The male victim was walking along  Woodville Street towards Ibrox subway station in Copland Road in the Ibrox area of the city, at around 4pm on January 31.

Two men approached the victim and attacked him - leaving him with a facial injury.

He was rushed to hospital for treatment, his current condition is unknown.

Detective Sergeant Ainsley Clark said :"One of the men is described as being approximately five foot six inches tall and of a slim build.

"He was wearing a dark coloured cagoule-style jacket with the hood up, a scarf covering his face and dark trousers.

"The second man is described as being five foot eight inches tall and of a slim build.

"He wearing a dark cagoule-style jacket with hood up and dark trousers.

"I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch with Police Scotland on 101, quoting 2358 of January 31."
