Manhunt launched after 'group of girls' attacked in Falkirk park

A manhunt has been launched after a group of people, believed to be young girls, were attacked in a Falkirk park over the weekend.

Police were called to the incident at the Zetland Park Pavilion in Grangemouth around 1.55am on Sunday August 29.

A Facebook post on a community page suggested the victims were school children, and that one required hospital treatment.

This has not yet been confirmed by police.

The full circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown and officers are asking anyone with information to get in touch.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report around 1.55am on Sunday, August 29, of a group people being assaulted at Zetland Park Pavilion, Grangemouth.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 0563 of August 29."
