Manhunt launched after a man was stabbed in the chest in a street fight in Oldham

A manhunt is underway after a man was stabbed in the chest outside a house in Oldham.

Police were called to reports of a fight outside a property on Devon Street at around 8.20am on Friday (January 24).

Four men were thought to be involved in the brawl, police say.

One man was stabbed in the chest and has been taken to hospital for treatment.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The offenders fled the scene on foot and no arrests have yet been made.

Police are continuing to make enquiries.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Police were called at around 8.20am this morning (Friday 24 January 2020) to reports of a fight involving four men outside an address on Devon Street, Oldham.

"One man is believed to have received a stab wound to the chest and has been taken to hospital for treatment.

"His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

"The offenders are believed to have fled from the scene on foot.

"No arrests have been made and officers are at the scene as enquiries continue."
