Manhunt launched after £50,000 of cameras stolen from Glasgow industrial estate

A manhunt has been launched after £50,000 of high end cameras were stolen from a Glasgow industrial estate.

Cops were called to a unit on the Oakbank insdustrial estate in the city at around 1am this morning amid reports of a shutter being forced and a glass door being smashed.

It was found that during the break-in around £50,000 of cameras were taken including various brands like Sony, Fuji, Sigma and Canon.

Constable John Whitelaw, of Govan Police Station, said: “We are asking anyone with information, or anyone who may have witnessed suspicious behaviour in the area at the time of the incident, to please get in touch as you may be able to assist with our enquiries.

"You can contact local officers by calling 101, and quoting reference number 0235 of Sunday, 31 January, 2021."

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.
