Manhunt in West Lothian after brutal attack leaves Livingston man in hospital

A 33-year-old man was rushed to hospital after being brutally attacked on a Livingston street.

Police in West Lothian have issued a description of a suspect they are looking to trace in connection with the incident, which happened on Morrison Way between 12am and 12.30am this morning (Tuesday, February 16).

He is described as being white, in his late teens and around 5ft 6ins tall and of skinny build. He was wearing a blue face mask, black jogging bottoms, a black hooded top with the hood up and white trainers.

The victim suffered injuries to his face and legs, and was rushed off to St John's Hospital for treatment following the attack.

Officers say enquiries are ongoing, and they want to speak to anyone who might have information. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the area.

Detective Sergeant John Bowerbank, of Livingston Police Station, said: "We would urge anyone who may have seen or noticed a disturbance in the area in the early hours to get in touch.

"We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have private CCTV dashcam footage from the area.

"Any information can be passed to Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0081 of 16 February, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
