Manhunt for 'dangerous' suspect wanted by police over murder of Ahmed Jama in Camden

Police have launched an appeal for a "dangerous" suspect wanted in connection with a fatal stabbing in north-west London.

Officers were called following reports that Ahmed Jama had been attacked near the Beatles’ iconic Abbey Road crossing just after 7.30pm on Friday, December 29.

Mr Jama was found injured near Gaymead, on the Abbey Estate, and given first aid by paramedics. However, he later died of his wounds in hospital.

Detectives are trying to locate “dangerous” suspect Arlind Hashani in connection with the brutal murder.

The Metropolitan Police released a photo of Mr Hashani on Thursday and urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to get in touch.

It comes after a 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on January 4 following the stabbing.

A 25-year-old was later arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender on January 7. Two 25-year-old men were both arrested on January 17 on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

All four men have been released on bail.

Detective Neil Rawlinson, who is leading the investigation, said: “We urgently need to trace the whereabouts of Arlind Hashani.

"He is considered to be dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 999 or report anonymously to CrimeStoppers by calling 0800 555 111."
