Five people have reportedly been shot in an apparent shooting incident in lower Manhattan. Reports indicate that several people may have been hit by a vehicle at about the same time of the reported shooting.
New York Police Department says that one person is in custody, and that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Police have advised people to stay away from the area, which is around the Chambers Street. Reports indicate that a nearby high school, Stuyvesant High School, has been placed on lock down.
