Mango cards will no longer be used on tram network from next week

From next week Trentbarton Mango cards will no longer be used on the tram network.

The change comes as the bus company made alterations to its ticket machines .

It means NET customers can no longer buy a Mango card or top up an existing card at tram stops.

Existing cardholders will still be able to use their Mango card on the tram until Sunday, March 29.

This has been extended from the previous deadline of December 29 to allow customers to spend their remaining balances.

Passengers using Mango cards for NET tram journeys can switch to a pay-as-you-go Robin Hood card to receive similar discounts.

People will still be able to use Mango cards as normal on Trentbarton buses.

NET tweeted to remind customers of the change on Wednesday (March 18).
