Mangaluru madrassa student alleges attack; probe on

MANGALURU: Police have intensified investigations after a Class 7 student, also studying in a madrassa, claimed he was attacked by bike-borne miscreants in Surathkal, near Mangaluru, on Monday night.

The attack reportedly took place when the boy was returning home from the madrassa and his clothes were torn up bythe miscreants in the incident.

Quoting the victim’s statement, police said that two bike-borne miscreants came from behind and allegedly pulled his clothes around 9.30pm. A case has been registered and an investigation is on.
