Diane Morgan's comedy series Mandy is returning for a second series with a cast that features many household names.
The show began life as a comedy short on iPlayer back in 2019 and is written and directed by Diane, who also stars as the lead character.
Diane Morgan has said of series 2, "At this time of debate about the future of the BBC, a second series of Mandy could not be more timely."

"If anything proves the worth of the corporation it's a show about a woman who wants to breed Doberman pinchers. It's not something you'd get on Amazon Prime or BFI Player."
BBC Commissioning Editor Gregor Sharp described Mandy as an "instantly iconic comedy character."
Who is in the Mandy Series 2 cast?
Starring alongside Diane Morgan will be returning actors Michelle Greenidge (Code 404), Tom Basden (Plebs), Alistair Green (Flowers), Mark Silcox (Man Like Mobeen) and Michael Spicer (The Room Next Door).
Joining the cast for series 2 will be:

Former Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq, Deborah Meaden of Dragon's Den and acclaimed scientist Professor Brian Cox will all make appearances as themselves in the show.
What to expect from Mandy Series 2
The BBC describe series two by telling us, "Mandy once again has big dreams with small success, as she attempts to find fulfilment in a series of short-lived jobs in the modern gig economy."
"Along the way she becomes a tour guide, goes on a reality show and gets thrown in at the deep end, both actually and metaphorically, when she attempts to learn to swim. All fun stuff, but none of which brings her any closer to her ultimate ambition of breeding Doberman pinchers."
When is Mandy back on TV?
Series 2 of Mandy will begin tonight (5 January 2022) at 10 pm on BBC Two with two back-to-back episodes – " The Unpleasantness at Brampton Hall " and " Who Are You, Do You Think? "
