Mandy Moore has finally revealed the name of her baby boy.
The singer and actress, 36, recently gave birth to her first child with husband Taylor Goldsmith.
And in an emotional Instagram post, she shared the beautiful meaning behind her son’s name – August.
“Gus is here. Our sweet boy, August Harrison Goldsmith. He was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents," Mandy wrote in an announcement post earlier this week.
"We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand-new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined."
And now, the Princess Diaries star has detailed why she chose the gorgeous name.
Alongside a sweet snap of her son’s precious blanket, she penned: “It was last August when @taylordawesgoldsmith and I found out we were having a boy (it’s also Taylor’s birth month) and we always loved the name... so it was settled very early on in our book.
“Then for our anniversary in November, T gifted me with this blanket with the “A” (for Amanda) made from extra material from my wedding dress and “T” (for Taylor) from his wedding shirt.
“Felt like a very fitting amalgamation of our whole story. I can’t wait to pass this on to our sweet August one day.”
The This Is Us star announced she was expecting her first child back in September last year.
Alongside a series of snaps of her blossoming bump, she penned: "Baby Boy Goldsmith coming early 2021."
The actress has previously been incredibly open about her desires to have children with Taylor.
"He makes me melt. I can imagine no better partner," she previously told Glamour .
The genetically-blessed couple tied the knot in 2018 after dating for two-years.
