Manchester WILL get a festival this summer, with new boutique event planned

A new socially-distanced, open-air festival will be heading to Greater Manchester this summer.

Boutique festival The Clubhouse claims to be the UK's first socially distanced food and drink festival, complete with disco dancing, cocktails and street food.

With a Miami theme, ticket-holders can expect disco vibes, palm trees, and plenty of pastel colours.

The Clubhouse will arrive in Manchester over the August bank holiday weekend, helping to fill the void left by the cancelled Manchester Pride Live event.

Tickets will go on sale tomorrow for the event, which will take over a 'previously untouched urban landscape' in Trafford.

There'll be street food vendors, draught ales, classic cocktails and a soundtrack of disco and house music.

Tables will be available to purchase in groups of four, five or six, in line with the government's current social distancing guidelines.

The event will appear at Tenax Circle, near the site of Total Ninja.

The Clubhouse will be in town on Sunday August 30 between 2pm and 11pm.

Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Friday July 31 at theclubhouseparty.com.
