Manchester weather: It's set to be very sunny next week as we enjoy mini-Indian Summer

Temperatures are set to soar in Manchester, as forecasters predict wall to wall sunshine over the coming days.

It's expected to be warm, sunny and dry from Friday until next Saturday, forecasters say - meaning the region will enjoy a mini-Indian Summer.

By Sunday, expect temperatures in the low 20s, while some parts of the UK will enjoy highs of 25C.

It will follow a period of unsettled weather earlier in the week.

Bonnie Diamond, a meteorologist at the Met Office, said: "As the remnants of storm Gabrielle hits, it will bring warmer air from the Atlantic.

"It looks like temperatures could reach mid-20s in some parts of the UK by Thursday.
