Heavy rain overnight has caused transport chaos across Greater Manchester and forecasters have warned more is yet to come.
A yellow weather alert warning of heavy rain has been issued by the Met Office.
The warning covers the whole of the region and is in place from 12am this morning until midnight tonight.
According to the Met Office website there could be possible power cuts due to lightning strikes, road closures, transport disruption and flooding to properies.
The Met Office said: "Rain will be persistent and heavy in places across parts of central, northern and eastern England and north-east Wales at first on Wednesday.

"During the day rain may turn more showery in places but with a higher chance of thunderstorms by afternoon.
"Some parts of northern England could see as much as 40-60mm of rain through Wednesday, while thunderstorms could produce as much as 30-40 mm in 1-2 hours."
Three flood warnings have been issued by the Environment Agency for Manchester and surrounding areas with Borsdane and Hockery Brook in Hindley, Poynton Brook and parts of Armcon Business Park, in Poynton and River Wye at Lytton Mill.
The A555 Airport link road has flooded again from A5102 Woodford Road, in Bramhall, to the A35 Handforth Bypass.
There are also road closures in place in Wigan and the M56 Princess Parkway in Wythenshawe.
