Manchester United youngster Shola Shoretire has revealed the advice he was given from teammate Mason Greenwood.
Both players are products of United's famed youth academy. Greenwood quickly rose through the ranks and is now a crucial member of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first-team squad at just 19-years-old.
The forward enjoyed a prolific breakthrough season last year and was rewarded with a call-up to the senior England squad by Gareth Southgate.
Shoretire, 16, is highly regarded at Carrington and has been a regular in Neil Wood's Under-23s squad despite not celebrating his 17th birthday until February.
The midfielder has scored two goals and registered two assists already this season and supporters are watching his progress keenly.
Shoretire revealed Greenwood offered him some useful advice prior to his permanent promotion to the first-team.
"One thing he's always said to me, you always miss 100 per cent of the shots you don't take," he said when asked if he's received any advice from Greenwood during an interview with Harry Pinero on YouTube.
"You've always got to be trying to shoot.
"If you don't shoot, you don't score.
"He told me that like three years ago and look at him now."
Shoretire picked out Brazilian legend Ronaldinho as the player that inspires him most from the past.
He added: "Ronaldinho. He was so confident in himself.
"He was so skilful. He had everything I think.
"If you're not having fun on the pitch, there's no point is there."
