Manchester United youngster mocks Harry Maguire over Steven Bergwijn goal

Manchester United youngster Dillon Hoogewerf mocked teammate Harry Maguire on Instagram for his attempt to catch Tottenham winger Steven Bergwijn in Friday's Premier League draw.

The Dutch forward opened the scoring at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, skipping past the challenge of Maguire before firing a shot at David de Gea that the Spaniard should have kept out.

Both Maguire and De Gea were slammed by United legend Roy Keane for their parts in conceding the first goal. He said: "I wouldn't even let them on the bus after the match. Get a taxi back to Manchester. They should hang their heads in shame."

Now, Hoogewerf - who signed for United from Ajax last summer - shared a video to his Instagram story which mocked the current United captain.

The post Hoogewerf shared contained footage from a well-known YouTube video which shows a man chasing a cyclist down a pavement before falling into the road after attempting to kick the bike's rear wheel.

The video carried the capion: "what the back of Bergwijn's boost saw when he ran past Harry Maguire".

Hoogewerf reposted the video on his official Instagram account which has over 34,00 followers.

The 17-year-old forward signed his first professional contract with United back in March. He said: "Really happy to sign my first professional contract, can't wait to get back to the training ground and continue the hard work."
