Manchester United youngster Aidan Barlow reacts to landmark goal

Manchester United youngster Aidan Barlow has spoke of his delight after scoring his first goal in professional football at the weekend.

The 19-year-old midfielder netted an impressive chipped effort as he got off the mark for Tromso during his loan spell in Norway.

There were a few eyebrows raised when it was announced Barlow had agreed to a four-month loan move to Tromso earlier this summer, but it is credit to the youngster that the loan has been a success so far.

Barlow has featured three times for Tromso since completing his loan move and got off the mark on Sunday as he netted his side's second goal during a 2-2 draw with Haugesund.

It was a moment to savour for the Salford-born midfielder but he admits his side must do better to ensure they don't drop points in the future.

"I am very happy to have scored my first goal," Barlow said after the draw. "But unfortunately there were not three points today and that is the most important thing. I am very disappointed since we led 2-0 and let in two unnecessary goals.

"I want to contribute as much as possible, but I have not set a target for how many goals I want to contribute.

"Now we have to take it a game at a time and get the points we need to save the place. We have to use the national break well and be ready for the next match."
