Manchester United XI vs Wolves: Team news, starting lineup and FA Cup injury list

Ashley Young misses Manchester United’s FA Cup third-round replay against Wolves tonight as the full-back’s Old Trafford future remains shrouded in uncertainty.

Young had looked to be on the verge of joining Inter Milan, though the Italians are now set to conclude a swap deal to sign Leonardo Spinazzola from AS Roma, with striker Matteo Politano heading to the Giallorossi.

Elsewhere, Marcus Rashford is fit coming off as a precautionary measure vs Norwich City, but is only on the bench.

Mason Greenwood starts in attack along with Anthony Martial, Juan Mata and Dan James.

Solskjaer is closing in on a deal for Bruno Fernandes, but was unable to offer any updates when questioned ahead of Wednesday’s clash with Wolves.

There is better news regarding Eric Bailly, who could be in the squad to face Liverpool on Sunday following a knee injury.

The game against Wolves will be Solskjaer’s fifth attempt to beat Nino Espírito Santo in his time in charge of United.

“We've played them so many times so we're gonna be facing a team that know more or less everything about us,” he said. “We've got them in a couple of weeks in the league.

“We played a decent first half last week. The second half was disappointing, but at home we want to make sure we go through.

“This tournament is one we dream about winning when we are young. I loved my time in finals and winning trophies so we want go through.”

Manchester United lineup: Romero; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Williams; Matic, Fred; Greenwood, Mata, James; Martial

Subs: Grant, Dalot, Jones, Andreas Pereira, Lingard, Chong, Rashford

Wolves lineup: Ruddy, Dedoncker, Coady, Saiss, Doherty, Moutinho, Neves, Otto, Adama, Raul, Neto

Subs: Patricio, Bennett, Gibbs-White, Vinagre, Kilman, Ashley-Seal, Rasmussen
