Manchester United XI vs West Ham: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Premier League

Bruno Fernandes is unlikely to be rested again - (ES Composite)

Ruben Amorim will have more than one eye on the Europa League final when he names his team to face West Ham in the Premier League.

Ahead of the all-English final against Tottenham in Bilbao on May 21, Amorim has named a strong squad as he looks to keep his players sharp ahead of the match.

Amorim said: “They will play because sometimes it's better to play.

"What I will protect is the players that can get an injury. For example, Bruno [Fernandes], or the last game before Tottenham, but we moved the game to Friday, Chelsea, so we will have time to recover.

“Bruno doesn't have the problem of (knocks table) any injury, but Harry [Maguire] has so we will have to manage that. But they have to play and it's better to play than to stay out."

Amad Diallo starts in front of a shaken-up defence where changes have been forced by Matthijs de Ligt’s injury. Luke Shaw starts alongside Noussair Mazraoui and leny Yoro, with Harry Amass slotting in at wing-back.

Youngster Tyler Fredricson started on the right of a back three against Brentford last time out. Chido Obi is also back in contention after being ineligible for the Europa League but is unlikely to start back-to-back Premier League games.

Toby Collyer (leg) and Ayden Heaven (ankle) will be assessed ahead of kickoff, but Lisandro Martinez (knee), Joshua Zirkzee (thigh) and Diogo Dalot (calf) all remain sidelined.

Man United starting XI: Bayindir; Shaw, Mazraoui, Yoro, Amass; Ugarte, Mainoo, Mount; Fernandes, Amad; Hojlund

Subs: Heaton, Dorgu, Fredricson, Lindelof, Maguire, Casemiro, Eriksen, Garnacho, Obi

Doubts: Collyer, Heaven

Injured: De Ligt, Martinez, Zirkzee and Dalot

Time and date: 2.15pm on Sunday, May 11, 2025

Venue: Old Trafford

How to watch: No UK TV coverage
