
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists his Manchester United players cannot use tiredness as an excuse if their Europa League pursuit comes to an end against Sevilla.
The Norwegian is aiming to win his first piece of silverware as Man United manager after guiding his team to a third semi-final this season.
And even after an exhausting end to the campaign, he claims his team are prepared to lift a trophy.
“Physically we’re fine, all the teams have played many games anyway,” he told MUTV. “Now it’s about who is mentally strongest.
“You can look at the opponent and know they’re tired but you want them feeling more tired than you.
“You’ve got to be strong mentally, concentrated and focused, and any of these games can be, and will be, decided on a marginal decision or finishing. We’ve just got to keep them focused with the right attitude.”
Solskjaer could recall Victor Lindelof for Sunday’s game in Cologne after starting Eric Bailly alongside Harry Maguire for Monday’s quarter-final against Copenhagen.
Nemanja Matic could also come back into midfield ahead of Fred, while Sergio Romero is expected to keep his place in goal instead of David de Gea.
