Bruno Fernandes starts for Manchester United against Hong Kong today as Alejandro Garnacho makes a possible final outing for the club.

United remain in Asia after losing to the ASEAN All-Stars in Malaysia on Wednesday, and are now preparing to take on the Hong Kong national team in an attempt to finish a miserable season on a remotely positive note.

Fernandes starts after beginning on the bench in Kuala Lumpur, coming on in the second half and unable to stop his team from falling to another alarming loss.

Garnacho has been told, reportedly in no uncertain terms by manager Ruben Amorim, to find a new club this summer, but also starts in Hong Kong after making a cameo on Wednesday.

Tom Heaton starts over Altay Bayindir in goal after Andre Onana travelled to India for fan engagement duties, along with Diogo Dalot and Harry Maguire.

Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro, Mason Mount and Joshua Zirkzee are not involved, neither are Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof, Noussair Mazraoui, the departing Christian Eriksen or long-term injury absentee Lisandro Martinez.

Manchester United XI: Heaton, Kamason, Evans, Fredricson, Kukonki, Amass, Casemiro, Fernandes, Garnacho, Lacey, Hojlund

Subs: Bayindir, Armer, Dorgu, Heaven, Munro, Kone, Collyer, T Fletcher, Mainoo, Moorhouse, Mount, Thwaites, Ugarte, Amad, Obi
