Man United XI vs Aston Villa: No Ronaldo - Confirmed team news, starting lineup for Premier League today

Manchester United face Aston Villa again with a Premier League match that comes shortly after their less-than-assured FA Cup win over Steven Gerrard’s side.

Cristiano Ronaldo misses out for the visitors, as he did the FA Cup victory, while Jadon Sancho is only fit enough for the bench.

Alex Telles starts at left-back, with Luke Shaw out with injury, while Harry Maguire is benched as Ralf Rangnick keeps faith with Victor Lindelof and Raphael Varane.

Anthony Elanga is given a start up front, in Ronaldo’s absence, as he partners Edinson Cavani, with Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood the pair behind the front two.

After a nervy win over Villa on Monday in the FA Cup, United desperately need a confidence-boosting performance and victory.

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Dalot, Lindelof, Varane, Telles, Fred, Matic, Bruno, Greenwood, Elanga, Cavani.

Subs: Heaton, Henderson, Jones, Maguire, Mata, Lingard, van de Beek, Sancho
