Manchester United would 'love to have' Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa

Manchester United would love to snatch Marcelo Bielsa from Leeds United to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour has stated.

The Norwegian boss is under increased pressure following a woeful start to the season, where they are still searching for their first home win in the Premier League.

That poor form transferred onto the international stage this week as they suffered a shock defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir and that has pushed Solskjaer closer to the edge.

Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is the favourite to take the reigns at Old Trafford and has reportedly been sounded out about the position.

However, Parlour believes that the club's eye will have been caught by other managers, including Leeds boss Bielsa, but doesn't think they'd be able to prize him away from Elland Road.

"I'm sure that as we speak now, they've been sounding out whether this is the job for him and is he ready to come back to football but he'd be a big concern," he told TalkSport.

"He will want to know where the club is going. There will be other managers who you would love to have but you probably won't be able to get.

"Bielsa at Leeds United, he's doing a fantastic job. Imagine, his teams always work really hard. Brendan Rodgers, I don't think he would leave Leicester, he's got the backing there and if he needs players, if he wants to sign big players, he can.

"There's a lot of good managers around but Pochettino, because he doesn't have a club, he would be the obvious choice."
