Manchester United winger Tahith Chong urged to sign for Everton

Everton youngster Nathangelo Markelo has urged one of Manchester United’s rising stars to join the club.

Tahith Chong is set to become a free agent at the end of the current season, with no contract extension agreed between him and United at this moment in time.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United have previously tried to extend Chong's current contract at Old Trafford but a summer exit is looking increasingly likely for the 20-year-old.

Reports have linked both Inter Milan and Juventus with a move for the youngster, but he has now been urged to join the Blues by his international team-mate.

Taking to Instagram, Chong posted an image of himself at United’s Marbella warm weather training camp, with Markelo replying with “come to Everton."

Able to operate at centre-back, right-back, central midfield and as a right wing-back, Markelo has represented his country at Under-17 and Under-18 and Under-19 level, and is himself out of contract in the summer.

The 21-year-old has been an ever present for David Unsworth's side this season and is expected to feature in their next Premier League 2 fixture against Derby County at Goodison Park on Monday night.
