Manchester United will land Leicester City's Harry Maguire 'on one condition'

Manchester United will reportedly meet Leicester City's asking price for Harry Maguire in the coming days - but on one condition.

The Irish Independent claim that United will meet Leicester’s valuation of around £80million for the centre-back if and when Romelu Lukaku's sale is completed.

Both Internazionale and Juventus are keen on Lukaku, while MEN Sport understands United have so far been unable to meet the price tag for Maguire, despite having bid £70million.

Elsewhere, it has been claimed that United legend Sir Alex Ferguson wants the club to sign Aston Villa star John McGinn, with The Sun reporting that the Scot is a huge fan.

The midfielder helped Villa win promotion last season and could be viewed as an alternative to Sean Longstaff as United seek midfield reinforcements. Villa, however, are said to value him at £50million - the same as Longstaff's Newcastle asking price.

The report states that Ferguson is good friends with McGinn's grandfather and has been lobbying Ole Gunnar Solskajer to target the 24-year-old, who was bought by Villa from Scottish side Hibernian 12 months ago.

Finally, it appears Inter Milan may have lined up a possible alternative if they cannot sign United striker Lukaku.

The Belgian dropped a huge hint that he could be leaving Old Trafford on Saturday, tweeting a picture of himself and his agent after apparent transfer talks.

Inter have made no secret of their desire to sign the former Chelsea and Everton man, but Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato claim that PSG’s Edinson Cavani is on Inter’s radar, though their first choices remain either Lukaku or Roma’s Edin Dzeko as Antonio Conte desperately tries to sign a striker.
