Manchester United 'wait' on Barcelona star Ansu Fati's transfer decision and more rumours

Manchester United are prepared to wait on Ansu Fati to make a decision on his future as the Barcelona starlet weighs up his options for the summer window - according to reports.

Fati, 20, progressed through the famed La Masia system and remains highly rated at the Nou Camp. However, injury problems since his breakthrough have impacted his ongoing development.

United have been linked with a move for the Spain international before. However, they are not the only team pursuing him should he leave the Catalan giants, as reports from Spanish publication SPORT argue the forward will mull over his options next season.

Fati has already played 89 senior games for Barcelona since making his debut, but with heavy competition for places the seven-cap international has only started seven matches in La Liga this season. Of course, the player will meet United in the Europa League over two legs this month.

The article reveals that Fati has held discussions with Joan Laporta and Jorge Mendes about his future. His deal at the Nou Camp runs until 2027 and there is no suggestion over a would-be transfer fee.

Elsewhere, reports from the same publication SPORT claim Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves would be open to signing for United or Liverpool next summer. Neves, 25, joined the Midlands side from Porto in 2017 and quickly helped win them promotion to the Premier League.

Since then, the Portuguese has established himself as one of the top midfielders based in this country, and he has long since been tipped to switch to a bigger club. Neves only has 18 months left to run on his contract and the article states that his advisors would be willing to listen to sensible offers.
