Manchester United vs West Brom team news: Baggies await updates on three key players

Manchester United return to Premier League action following the international break this weekend when they welcome West Brom to Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are still waiting for their first league win at home this season and have work to do, as they sit 14th in the table and six points adrift of the Champions League places.

United will be expected to take maximum points from their clash against Slaven Bilic's side, who are without a win this season and have conceded a league-high 17 goals so far this term.

The Baggies are also sweating heading into the fixture as three important players have tested positive for COVID-19 during November.

Former Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic and Matheus Pereira both missed the 1-0 defeat to Tottenham on November 8 as they were forced to self-isolate.

Their quarantine period is due to end today, however, so they could be available for the weekend if they pass a negative test and are able to return to training alongside their teammates.

Striker Callum Robinson faces a race to be cleared to play though after being sent home from Republic of Ireland duty after contracting the virus.

While he is expected to return to training this week, West Brom's staff will need to decide on whether he has enough preparation to feature at Old Trafford.

Robinson will leave a huge void to fill if he is not able to feature, as the striker has scored two of the Baggies' six goals in the top-flight this season.

Hal Robson-Kanu will definitely be unavailable for the game after breaking his arm against Southampton last month, an injury he has not recovered from.
