Manchester United vs Liverpool FC Premier League fixture rescheduled

Manchester United's home fixture against Liverpool has been moved back by 24 hours to Sunday October 20, the Merseyside club have confirmed.

United will now host Liverpool at Old Trafford on the Sunday with a 4.30pm kick off. The game will be shown live on Sky Sports.

The Premier League fixture was originally scheduled for a 5.30pm kick off on Saturday October 19.

Following the clash, Liverpool travel to Genk in the Champions League, while United will face an away game in the Europa League group stage on the Thursday given Manchester City's home clash with Atalanta in the same week.

United held Liverpool to a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford last season as Jurgen Klopp's side fell a point short of the Premier League title as Man City emerged victorious in the title race.

Liverpool have established an early lead in the table after three games, boasting the only 100% record in the division. The Champions League holders are looking to win their first Premier League title this season, and will look at games like the clash with United as an opportunity to better their record from 2018/19.
