Manchester United vs Crystal Palace prediction vs odds: Rangnick era can get off to winning start at Old Trafford

Check out our 9/4 Manchester United vs Crystal Palace prediction below

Another new dawn is breaking at Old Trafford as Ralf Rangnick takes his place in the Manchester United dugout for the first time against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

The new boss will have very little time to work with his players on the training field before Sunday but that doesn't mean we won't see some immediate changes, both tactical and with regard to personnel.

United are red-hot 11/20 favourites with Grosvenor Sport to provide Rangnick with a first victory while Palace are 11/2 outsiders to follow up last season's victory in this fixture.

A priority for Rangnick will be to sort out United's flimsy rearguard, which has already leaked 24 goals in 14 Premier League matches and which hasn't managed a single shutout at Old Trafford this term.

Palace had looked on the right track but back-to-back defeats at Aston Villa and Leeds have set Patrick Vieira's side back although their performance at Villa Park was one that deserved more than it produced.

The Eagles showed just how dangerous they can be by winning 2-0 at Manchester City in October and there is no doubt that they have the individual quality in offensive areas to cause this unpredictable United side problems, especially on the break.

Manchester United vs Crystal Palace Prediction

United have been the gift that keeps on giving in terms of conceding at Old Trafford this season and Palace look well up to inflicting more damage on a United defence that has shipped more goals at home than all bar Watford and Newcastle.

However, United should still have too much attacking quality for a Palace side that gave up 15 shots at Leeds on Wednesday night so let's back United to win and both teams to score (yes) which makes up into a very appealing 9/4 chance with Grosvenor Sport.

Recommended Bet: United to win and both teams to score (yes) - 9/4
