Man Utd vs Chelsea line up includes Paul Pogba and Harry Maguire but no Jones or Smalling

Manchester United have named their side to face Chelsea in their first Premier League game of the season.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping his United side get off to a strong start having enjoyed a successful pre-season with six wins from six games.

Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka make their competitive debuts for the club, while Daniel James and youngster Mason Greenwood are on the bench.

Axel Tuanzebe is the central defender named on the bench, with no places for Chris Smalling and Phil Jones in the matchday 18. David de Gea captains the side.

Eric Bailly is injured and Alexis Sanchez is still not ready to return. Matteo Darmian and Marcos Rojo are not in the squad amid doubts over their futures with the European transfer window still open.

United team: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Pogba, McTominay, Pereira, Lingard, Rashford, Martial.

Subs: Romero, Mata, Young, Matic, James, Tuanzebe, Greenwood.
