Manchester United proved too good for Brighton as they overcame the visitors with a 3-1 win at Old Trafford.
Andreas Pereira, a Davy Propper own goal and a Marcus Rashford finish ensured United’s victory.
Brighton did momentarily hit back through a Lewis Dunk header, but Rashford’s reply moments later snuffed out any hope of a late comeback.
Brighton had positive moments but ultimately couldn’t cope with United’s pace of Rashford, Anthony Martial and Dan James up front.
