Manchester United video suggests Zidane Iqbal may be the next David Beckham in the making

Manchester United academy starlet Zidane Iqbal has been preparing to return to pre-season training and has shown off a stunning free-kick he scored during a session.

Iqbal, born in 2003, recently signed the first professional contract of his career with the Old Trafford club after impressing with the Under-18's during the most recent campaign.

He scored seven goals and even managed to appear once for the Under-23's during the season too.

In an attempt to stay fit and sharp during the off-season, the Iraqi youth international has been training at the Inter Football Academy with coach Rick Bell.

They shared a video on their Instagram account of him burying a stunning free-kick into the top corner during a session.

The central midfielder is capable of playing as a box-to-box option or a bit more advanced as a number ten when necessary where his creativity is able to shine through and he can show off his flair.

Iqbal is likely to continue his development with the academy throughout this season, with a promotion to the Under-23's likely after the promotion to the first-team of Shola Shoretire, Amad, Hannibal Mejbri and Anthony Elanga.

United are likely to move for a central midfielder this summer in the first-team but Iqbal is highly rated at the club and should he continue to develop at the same rate he has been then he will be in for a shout with earning himself a first-team call up in the future.
