Everton v Manchester United: match preview

Everton v Manchester United
Everton v Manchester United: probable starters in bold, contenders in light Photograph: x

Nineteen months on from what was, at that point, the nadir of his Old Trafford reign Ole Gunnar Solskjær returns to Goodison Park still under pressure and with questions surrounding the commitment of the same core of players who folded in that 4-0 defeat to Marco Silva’s Everton. So much for change or improvement. Two poor away defeats in succession – both without Richarlison, who remains suspended – demonstrated that Everton, like United, flatter to deceive. Both managers require a reaction urgently. Andy Hunter
