Manchester United transfer round-up: Fiorentina 'send Nikola Milenkovic warning', Juan Mata unsure on future

Fiorentina have warned Manchester United off making a move for highly-rated defender Nikola Milenkovicthis month.

According to the Mirror, the Serie A club have no intention of allowing Milnekovic to leave until at least the summer, when he will command a transfer fee in the region of £50million.

Milenkovic was the subject of interest from Jose Mourinho while he was still in charge of United, with the Portuguese watching him play for Serbia during the October international break.

Meanwhile, Juan Mata has admitted that he does not currently know what his future holds after accepting a prestigious award in his native Spain.

Mata, who has six months remaining on his United contract, was presented with the National Award for Sport on Thursday and asked whether he might ever join a club in his own country.

"I do not know," he said. "I have been in England for a while, in a league where I feel very well and in which I am well adapted, but it is true that sometimes you miss your home, your family, your friends... but I do not know if in the near future I will return to Spain."

United remain in negotiations with Mata's representatives over extending his stay at Old Trafford.

Elsewhere, Molde are still expecting Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to return to Norway once his caretaker spell in charge of United has ended.

Oystein Neerland, the club's managing director, told the Daily Mail: "The deal is until 12 May. That is our Plan A and our Plan B.

"We have no Plan C. We have only spoken with United about this period, January to May. Nothing else. I'm staying with this plan."
