Manchester United transfer news: Club meeting with Crystal Palace on Monday after making new offer

Manchester United will meet Crystal Palace again on Monday to try and finally make a breakthrough on the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Old Trafford club submitted another bid over the weekend, but it is still far short of Crystal Palace's valuation. The Selhurst Park hierarchy are holding out for a deal worth £70m with add-ons, and are insistent on £50m guaranteed.

They have so far been completely unbudging from their price, as reported by The Independent last week. Palace are in fact so secure in their stance that they have repeatedly told United to effectively meet the valuation or walk away.

The club have found some of United's add-ons so far unrealistic, but the two parties will meet on Monday to try and come to an agreement.

The 21-year-old is currently away on international duty with Aidy Boothroyd’s England Under-21s, and could play a part in their Group C dead rubber against Croatia on Monday night, though their early exit has already been confirmed following two straight defeats.

Wan-Bissaka joined the Palace academy when he was 11 years old and has risen through the club’s ranks to make his debut at the start of last season, but United are determined to add him to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad and make the defender the second new addition of the summer, following the £15m acquisition of young winger Daniel James from Swansea earlier this month.
