Manchester United transfer deadline for Bruno Fernandes to face Liverpool revealed

Liverpool host Manchester United on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League and the Red Devils could have a key January transfer window addition available to take the field.

Jurgen Klopp's men have already done business during the January transfer window after completing the signing of Takumi Minamino from RB Salzburg.

United are yet to make any moves this month but there is increasing speculation that they could sign Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon in time to face Liverpool.

The 25-year-old has considerably enhanced his reputation in the last couple of seasons in the Portuguese league.

He had been linked with a move to United in the summer but the club chose to drop their interest, only to reignite it this month amid injuries to fellow midfielders Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay.

There has been talk that Fernandes could be signed this week but when does a deal have to go through for playmaker to be available for the trip to Anfield?

It has been revealed, per the MEN, that United must register Fernandes as their player by 12pm on Friday if they want him to feature against Liverpool this Sunday (4:30pm kick-off).

United are exploring the possibility of signing Fernandes and see him as an appealing mid-season acquisition. Fernandes has scored 14 goals and assisted 13 for Sporting this season.
