Manchester United transfer bid for Paulo Dybala 'hijacked by Inter Milan'

Inter Milan are attempting to scupper Manchester United’s hopes of completing a swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala by making their own offer for the Argentine forward, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Lukaku has principally agreed to move to Turin which means Inter, who are still just about in the equation to sign the Belgian forward, have lined up alternative targets.

Consequently the report claims Inter have now proposed a counter-swap deal which would see Icardi head to Juventus and Dybala move to the San Siro.

Meanwhile, Dybala has reportedly decided he does not want to move to United.

That’s according to this report by CalcioMercato, which says he intends to inform Maurizio Sarri of his desire to remain in Italy under the former Chelsea manager’s guidance.

Dybala is said to be unconvinced by the prospect of moving to United and will ask Sarri to challenge the club’s desire to let him go.

Finally, Newcastle reportedly want to sign Axel Tuanzebe from United.

Mail Online say 21-year-old Tuanzebe is on Steve Bruce’s watch list ahead of next Thursday’s transfer deadline.

However, the report adds United will only let him go if Harry Maguire arrives from Leicester.

The Mail’s report doesn’t specify what kind of deal it would be but Solskjaer described Tuanzebe as ‘the future’ of the club last month, so it is improbable that he would leave on a permanent basis.

Bruce signed Tuanzebe on a season-long loan deal for Aston Villa at the beginning of last season.
