Manchester United told why Jadon Sancho can be their new Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United have been urged to sign Jadon Sancho this summer and told why he can be like a new Cristiano Ronaldo for the team.

England international Sancho has enjoyed another incredible season playing for Borussia Dortmund and netted his first professional hat-trick last weekend during their 6-1 win over Paderborn.

The match saw Sancho net his hat-trick in just 35 minutes to takes his tally to 20 goals and 20 assists in just 39 appearances for Lucien Favre's side this season.

Sancho remains the priority target for United ahead of the summer transfer window despite the expected financial restrictions for many sides as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to sign a top attacking talent this summer and his former teammate Wes Brown believes Sancho could prove to be a talisman as Ronaldo was at the club.

"Talent and excitement. We need someone exactly like that at the club," Brown told MUTV.

"We’ve had them over the years and I’m sure if we were to sign him he would bring that excitement back to the club. It would be good for the team as well.

"We’ve had players like that in the past, like with Cristiano Ronaldo. They’re the type of player who draw three or four defenders out and make the game a lot easier for the other players.

"If we could do it, it would be a brilliant signing."
